(website at: www.DanicaMcKellar.com)
Danica plays "Dana," the emotionally uptight psychology graduate student who falls in love with her speech impaired patient, Jacob. By the end of the story, Dana finds a new kind of strength and understanding about how to love.

Danica wore many hats on this set. She wrote, produced, co-directed, acted in, and financed this project herself! Lately, in addition to discovering the wonders of filmmaking, she's been busy as an actress as well. She's been recurring on "The West Wing" and in addition to starring in the Sci-Fi Channel movie "Stratosphere," she will be appearing on many TV shows this year, including "NYPD Blue," "Jack & Bobby," and "Navy: NCIS." She is certainly enchanted by filmmaking, but she won't be giving up acting any time soon!

JM Ferguson Jay Michael Ferguson:

Jay plays the mysterious 21 year old boy, who does not speak, but who eventually learns to trust Dana, the only person besides his mother he has ever gotten to know. In addition to starring in this project, he also composed the musical score!

Jay has appeared on many popular TV series, including ER, Charmed, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition, he has starred in several independent films recently, including "Black Hole," the comedy "Virgil," and "XCU."

Dorothy Lyman Dorothy Lyman:
Dorothy plays Jacob's eerily overprotective mother, who does not want Dana intruding on their private life by trying to discover why Jacob will not speak.

Dorothy may be remembered for her long standing acting career, including well known series such as "The Practice," "Hope & Glory," and "Mama's Family." Dorothy is also an accomplished director, having directed 75 episodes of "The Nanny." Here's some trivia: Dorothy and Danica worked together 10 years ago on an NBC movie of the week with Jennifer Aniston called, "Camp Cucamonga."

Dan Lauria Dan Lauria:
Dan plays Dana's university professor, who assigns her to work with Jacob for her psychology assessment project. In a comedic scene, he fights against Dana's stubbornness, in order to get her to look beyond the diagnostic manual and learn to understand patients as people.

Dan Lauria is best known for his work on "The Wonder Years" where he played Kevin Arnold's father. He was like a second father to the kids on the set, including Danica. Danica was thrilled that he appeared in her movie; he was her biggest inspiration to become a screenwriter, after he gave her a screenwriting program at her UCLA graduation! Dan's first love is the theater, and besides his well known television work on "Amazing Grace," "Hooperman," and "Third Watch," he runs a non-profit theater company in Los Angeles called, "Playwright's Kitchen Ensemble" in order to support theater and young writers in Los Angeles.

Wil Wheaton Wil Wheaton:
Wil plays Ryan, Dana's lovesick and hopelessly nerdy classmate, who attempts to win Dana's heart by impressing her with his Mongolian rat experiment.

Wil Wheaton is best known for "Stand By Me,"and "Star Trek, Next Generation." He and Danica recently filmed a movie together called, "Jane White is Sick and Twisted." (see www.janewhitemovie.com) . Besides that, Wil has appeared in films such as "Flubber" and "Foreign Correspodance." Wil is also currently producing a short film of his own!

Kathleen Lancaster Kathleen Lancaster:
Kathleen plays Tanya, Dana's best friend, who futilely attempts to persuade Dana out of her obsessively structured lifestyle, to give love a chance with Ryan… or anyone, for that matter.

Kathleen has appeared on several television shows, including Arrest & Trial and Lonesome Dove. She did an excellent job, and we were lucky to have her!
